Achieved a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the Polytechnic University of New York and was the lead proofreader for a multibillion-dollar contract.

Shamsher (Sham) Beri 

Residence: Vancouver, WA

Experience:

An auditing specialist, fluent in four SE Asian Languages with over 20 years experience who currently performs registration assessments for many leading registrars. Sham has performed over 250 Quality Assessments (National and International) including experience as an ANSI N.45.2.23 Lead Auditor since 1987, assessments of ISO 9000 and numerous other Quality Management Systems including QS 9000.

As the principal of Beri Associates, Inc., Sham provides support for the development, implementation, and assessment of ISO 9000 and other Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Mr. Beri has provided QMS training to hundreds of individuals throughout the United States.

Sham was formerly the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer of Iowa Electric’s Duane Arnold Energy Center and was the Supervisor of Quality Assurance during the operating status of Portland General Electric’s Trojan Nuclear Plant who assessed and managed more than 250 Quality Assured Suppliers.

Mr. Beri has been involved in nuclear industry initiatives such as the Comprehensive Procurement Initiative by NEI, formerly NUMARC.

During the reactors decommissioning status, he was the Lead QA Engineer for the Large Component Removal Project (Steam Generators/Pressurizer), Trojan 1100 MW Reactor Vessel Burial Project and ISFSI Dry fuel storage.

Mr. Beri has been active in the nuclear industry as chairman of the NUPIC/Vendor Interface Committee since 1998, has hosted four successful annual meetings and has published the NUPIC newsletter for over 1200 nuclear suppliers and utility members.

Sham Beri holds a BSEE in Power from MACT in Bhopal, India and a MBA in Marketing/Business from West Carolina University in North Carolina.
